Join us to receive National technical assistance for State literacy plans!

The Comprehensive Literacy State Development (CLSD) National Literacy Center (the Center) provides technical assistance (TA) on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education (the Department). In 2023, the Center expanded its work to provide State educational agencies (SEAs) with TA in developing or revising State literacy plans (SLPs). The TA consisted of the use of self-assessment tools, communities of practice to learn with and from other SEAs, one-on-one consultations, and other resources. Eleven SEAs participated in the first TA cohort.

The Department is pleased to announce that the TA will continue with a second cohort planned to launch in the summer of 2024. To register your SEA’s interest in participating, please complete this form. It is recommended to register early, as slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Once you register, the Center will follow up via email with next steps and timelines.

To learn more and prepare for the TA, we encourage SEAs to review the resources and tools on SLPs available here.

We look forward to working with you on your SEA’s SLP!

Note: Current CLSD grantees should contact their program officers for assistance or more information.
